For instance, Fred Kunkel works in the parts and accessories department. He is a hardcore rider that lives and breathes motocross. Fred might even bust out some funny riding stories while he is looking up your parts.
You might be able to save a few cents over the Internet, but a local dealer has all the last minute items that you need before a race: tear-offs, oil, race gas, tires, odd nuts and bolts, air filters, etc. They also have a good selection of helmets and gear to keep you hooked up. On the day before a race when times is tight, they are an invaluable resource.
